Northstar Miniatures: Metal and Plastic Frostgrave Miniatures Previewed at Salute

Pictures of the upcoming metal and plastic Frostgrave miniature range by Northstar Miniatures as previewed on Salute.

In the first two pictures you can see the metal part of the miniature range which will include 10 mages with their apprentices for the ten different magic schools. The metal range will also include specialist soldiers which are not covered by the plastic boxed set named Frostgrave Soldiers. You may also note the treasure markers which will be a freebie during the Nickstarter (Northstar Miniatures' own version of the popular crowdfunding site) when pledging.

In the following pictures you can see the 3-ups of the Frostgrave Soldiers which will be tooled in hard-plastic by Renedra. You can clearly see that these miniatures are intended to represent soldiers in cold weather gear suitable for the barren climate of Frostgrave. Their gear seems to be a mix of different historical cultures as well as fantasy elements.

The variety of options as shown in the pictures are a range of handweapons, shields, crossbows, bows and even other bits such as lanterns and the like. The lower two pictures were taken on the Renedra stand while the other ones were all taken on the Osprey Publishing stand if I'm not mistaken. In the two last pictures you can also see a part of the actual steel production mould which will be used for the creation of the plastic miniatures by Renedra!

I saw these figures there, and the game they were running. Very nice, and interesting ruleset.
